Blincoe Thomas Marbury S2C 8120300 Tank Landing Craft USN

1943

Enlisted 12 Jun 1943 in US Navy. USN Rosters show that craft was working from San Francisco base and thus we can say Thomas was serving in the Pacific Ocean fleet for the duration.
Note it seems that Thomas was assigned to Landing Tank Craft which was amphibious assault craft for landing tanks on beachheads used by USN.

Since Pearl Harbour in 1942, the Japanese forces had captured substantial portions of Pacific Ocean and thus as the US Navy fought back the LTC was used to free/gain back Islands and territory in the Pacific.
